Our History
Upon receiving his funeral director's license in 1964, Charles P. Arcaro, a Wilmington native, began his funeral business and served many families throughout the community. In 1970, he purchased a funeral home at 1810 West 4th Street and became the successor to the Joanna Corleto Funeral Home, naming his establishment the Charles P. Arcaro Funeral Home. He continued serving families in their time of sorrow in a compassionate, dignified, and respectful manner.
In 1973, an new facility was opened at at 2309 Lancaster Avenue, where we continue the tradition of high level service through the quality and care that is expected. Our staff of licensed funeral directors and funeral assistants are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
